What is the Reverse Trading Rule?

Taking opposing positions on the same asset across different accounts is prohibited in three independent ways:

  • Holding opposing positions for over 2 minutes
  • Opposing behaviour occurring more than 3 times regardless of duration
  • Buying on one account while selling on another simultaneously
Any one of these alone triggers a violation. Unlike the fully automated breach checks elsewhere, reverse trading is auto-flagged first and then confirmed by a human reviewer — false positives are possible, and a flagged account isn't necessarily a confirmed breach until reviewed.

Penalty: Hard breach, with a possible platform-wide ban.
